Egypt succeeded recently in opening export markets to a number of countries in the world, especially Europe, whose governments require strict standards to accept agricultural products in their markets.
Among the products that gained great demand in the European markets are the Egyptian grapes, which are witnessing many orders during this period, despite the existence of alternative products such as the Spanish grapes, as Spanish exporters complain that the Egyptian product caused a delay in their entry to the European market at the supposed date, which is early July.
The International Agricultural newspaper Fresh Plaza quoted David Franco from the commercial management of the Spanish company Grupo Paloma, one of the largest exporters of agricultural products and specialized in early production, as saying that their entry to the European market was delayed due to the Egyptian grapes’ invasion of all European markets.
